If you want a VIP number for your vehicle, then you have to apply online for it. For this, first you have to go to the official website of the Ministry of Road Transport. After this you will have to register yourself as a public user. Then you have to choose your preferred number and reserve it by paying the pre-determined fee here. Many categories have been fixed for these numbers as well and their prices are also different.
How to reserve number
After following the steps given above, you will have to book your preferred number. After depositing the fee, you will have to participate in the auction of the selected number. If you win this auction, that number is registered in your name.
These are VIP number plates
The Transport Authority assigns a number of numbers between 0001 to 9999 as VIP numbers in each alphabetical series. They are also separated into many categories, whose price is different.
VIP number plate prices
The base price for Super Elite category numbers like 0001 is Rs 5 lakh.
For Single Digit category numbers like 0003, 0005, 0009 etc., the base price is Rs 3 lakh.
For Semi-Fancy category numbers like 0100, 0666, 4444, 8000 etc., the base price is Rs 1 lakh.
For other VIP numbers like 0786, 0010, 0099 etc., you get a base price of Rs 2 lakh.
