New Delhi: Claiming that BJP-led central government has not fulfilled any of its promises made to protesting farmers last year, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait would observe a nation-wide “Betrayal Day” today.
Tikait also said that the agitating farmers had withdrawn their over year long protests at Delhi’s borders after Centre government through its letter made promises on December 9, 2021, but the promises were yet to be fulfilled by the government.
“The countrywide “Betrayal Day” will be observed tomorrow on January 31 against the government’s promises to the farmers.
On the basis of the government’s letter of December 9, the agitation was postponed, the government has not fulfilled any of those promises.!
