Kevadiya (Gujarat): Terming delay in justice as one of the biggest challenges facing the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said a credible and speedy justice system is essential for the country’s self-confidence and development.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the All India Conference of Law Ministers and Law Secretaries here through online means, the Prime Minister said that when justice is seen to be delivered, the confidence of the countrymen in constitutional institutions is strengthened and their self-confidence also increases.
During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Lok Adalats. “Lok Adalats have settled lakhs of cases. These have reduced the burden of the courts and have also made it very easy for the people living in the village to get justice for the poor.”
