Chandigarh: Senior congress leader and Punjab’s leader of the opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa on Friday ridiculed both Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann for hiring chartered planes to campaign in the Karnataka assembly polls only to be a spoil sport.
“ I have specific information both Kejriwal and Mann are hiring private charters at exorbitant rates to campaign in Karnataka though the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has no stake in the assembly polls of the southern state. In fact they are wasting people’s money on Karnataka misadventure. However, no matter what they do, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will meet the same fate as they had experienced during the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat assembly polls held last year”, said Bajwa.
While in Himachal Pradesh the AAP failed to even open an account in Gujarat despite spending so much money and time it was confined to just 5 seats.
Bajwa said in both Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat AAP worked hard to defeat the congress. In fact when BJP learnt that its position in Gujarat was not very strong it asked the AAP leaders to leave the HP polls scene and shift to Gujarat with its entire paraphernalia. “ That’s why you must have seen that AAP left the Himachal Pradesh poll campaign mid may and shifted its entire manpower to Gujarat only to help the worried BJP. That’s why AAP has always been dubbed as B team of the BJP.
“ Everyone knows that AAP has no strong political connection with the Karnataka state where it doesn’t even exist or have a strong organizational structure . But the worried BJP has asked the AAP leadership to bail it out of the current crisis to deflect the attention of the people to congress”, added Bajwa.
Bajwa said both Bhagwant and Arvind kejriwal have been wasting and mis-utilizing the resources of Punjab only to save the BJP in Karnataka. “ Let Kejriwal and Mann should know that congress is coming in Karnataka single handedly and that too with a thumping majority”, added Bajwa.
