New Delhi: A passenger plane coming from Russia’s capital Moscow made an emergency landing at the Delhi International Airport in the early hours today following a bomb threat, officials said.
There were a total of 400 people on board. Flight SU-232 of Russian airline Aeroflot made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport at around 2.48 am today. The passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the plane.
According to the police, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) had received an email alert about a bomb in the aircraft. As soon as the plane landed, 386 passengers and 14 crew members were evacuated immediately. The plane was examined and nothing was found in it, officials said.
