Chandigarh: A bomb was found in a mango orchard in Sector 2 of Chandigarh near Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence, triggering panic in the police departments of Chandigarh and Punjab.
Chandigarh and Mohali police rushed to the spot as soon as the information was received. It is being said that the operator of the tubewell installed inside the mango orchard informed the police about this, after which the police have also called the bomb disposal team of Chandigarh to the spot.
A large contingent of police force has also been deployed at the spot and the army has also been called in. It may be recalled that the official residence of the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab is located a few steps away from the site of the incident, along with this mango orchard situated in Rajinder Park, there are three helipads and the secretariats of Punjab and Haryana near it.
Meanwhile, the investigation is underway.
