Another Kabbadi player shot dead in Punjab’s Patiala

Patiala: A youth has been shot dead by his friends after a minor altercations here on Tuesday night.

Deceased has been identified as Dharminder, who ran a Kabaddi club at Daun Kalan village and was recently active in village politics.

According to the police, trio was having drinks at a nearby eatery shop where they had an altercation. Later, deceased abused them, which led to a clash. Accused returned with a few people and allegedly attacked him and one of the accused opened fire at victim and he died on the spot, said police.

Police said deceased was the president of the kabaddi club of the village. Police rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. A video related to the incident has also surfaced gone viral on the social media.
