Chandigarh: A police officer led by the DSP today reached Jallupur Khera, the native village of absconding Amritpal Singh, to interrogate his wife. His wife is from Britain. Her name was linked in the alleged collection of funds from abroad for Punjab.
Earlier, a woman DSP-rank officer also visited Amritpal’s house and questioned his wife and other family members. DSP Harkrishan Singh, who came to Amritpal’s house, said that he has come here for investigation.
Bike on which Amritpal fled recovered
Jalandhar SSP Swarandeep Singh today said Amritpal Singh, the head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit, on which he had escaped on a motorcycle, has been recovered by the police.
The motorcycle was found near the canal in Jalandhar. He had left the motorcycle in village Darapur and fled to Phillaur side.
