Amid food shortage, BJP leader Jakhar bats for aide to Pakistan

Chandigarh: Punjab BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has come out in support of Pakistan. He has appealed for the help of Pakistan, an arch-rivals of India.

Sunil Jakhar wrote in a tweet, “As millions suffer food shortages,a virtually bankrupt Pakistan desperately needs help. A confident India should support a beleaguered neighbor-despite inimical designs of it’s deep state. Let’s reciprocate the spirit of goodwill which made Kartarpur corridor possible.”

Sunil Jakhar was earlier in the Congress. In Punjab, after removing Captain Amarinder Singh from the chair, he was main contender for CM post. However, some Congressmen opposed it by saying that the non-Sikh should not be made CM of Punjab. Due to which Jakhar could not become the first Hindu CM of Punjab. After this, he had a rift with the Congress. Even during the election, he made a lot of statements against the party. Disgruntled Jakhar left the Congress and later joined BJP.
