Chandigarh: A meeting has been called today on behalf of Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, to discuss the situation in Punjab.
In this meeting, 60 to 70 Sikh organizations have been invited for discussion pertaining to police action against Sikh youths in Amritpal Singh operation. The meeting was scheduled for 12 o’clock, after which the members of the organizations have started arriving.
No political party has been invited to this meeting called by Giani Harpreet Singh this time. Only intellectuals, Sikh religious organizations have been invited for this.
Giani Harpreet Singh said that the way action was taken in Punjab on a large scale and Sikhs were caught, it is a matter of concern. Intellectuals, representatives of Sikh religious organizations have been called.
The meeting will discuss the situation in Punjab and how to improve it. Suggestions will be taken in this meeting and then a framework will be prepared.
