Punjab makes face masks compulsory as Covid-19 cases surge

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has issued new instructions regarding Covid-19 on Saturday.

According to these instructions, wearing masks in non-government offices, educational institutions and indoor/outdoor gatherings, malls, and public places is compulsory now.

Social distancing should be maintained, not spitting in public places. Get yourself tested with symptoms of corona. Hospitals, labs and collection centers testing corona should upload the results of corona test positive and negative on the Cova portal of the Punjab government. Those who are eligible for the second dose of covid vaccine or the precautionary dose, they should take it as soon as possible, government said in a notification.
