New Delhi: India’s Chief Justice NV Ramana recommended to the Centre the name of the senior-most judge Justice Uday Umesh Lalit as his successor.
The Chief Justice is retiring on August 26. The next Chief Justice Lalit’s tenure will be less than three months as he retires on November 8 this year.
