Chandigarh: AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha has been appointed chairman of the newly constituted advisory committee by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday.
The committee will advise the government on public issues. According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary VK Janjua recently, the committee will have one chairman and the rest of the members.
This committee will be able to hold a meeting with the officers at a direct round. It is there that they will be able to give instructions regarding their functioning. The Punjab government argues that through this committee, the administrative functioning of the government will be speeded up.
