Chandigarh: First Maharashtra, then Delhi and now Haryana government has said goodbye to wearing face mask in public places amid slump in Covid-19 cases.
The government has also said that a fine would also not be imposed on people if the don’t wear a mask from now onwards amid a significant dip in Covid-19 cases in the state.
The government, however, advised people to wear face masks, follow hand hygiene and other precautions to stay safe.
In the government order government said, “The wearing of face mask by each person while being in public places and workplace was made mandatory, is hereby withdrawn with immediate effect.No penalty or fine of Rs 500 shall be imposed for not wearing face masks in public/workplaces,” the order reads.
