New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday said that former apex court Judge, Justice Indu Malhotra, will lead the special panel to probe into the security lapse during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab last week.
The incident occurred on January 5, which has shocked the world and led to a political turmoil across the country.
A Bench led by CJI NV Ramana said the other members of the panel would be DG of the NIA or an IG level officer nominated by him, police chief of Union Territory of Chandigarh, ADGP (Security) of Punjab, and the Registrar General of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
