Lucknow: Asad, son of former MP Atiq Ahmed, who is wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case, and shooter Ghulam were killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Police in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh Adgp (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said today.
“Asad and Ghulam, wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case in Prayagraj, were carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh each. They died in an encounter with the UP STF. He said the UP STF team included deputy superintendents of police Navendu and Vimal.
