Attack on Ajnala police station could have been averted.. central agencies report

Chandigarh: In the case of attack on Ajnala police station in Punjab, central agencies have questioned the callous attitude of the Punjab Police in their report.

The agencies have pointed out the negligence of many officers of in their finding and said that if the Punjab Police had shown seriousness, a violent incident like the attack on the police station could have been averted.

“If the Punjab Police had stopped Amritpal Singh in his village Jallupur Khera, the Ajnala police station incident would not have happened, while Amritpal had been campaigning for three days that if the FIR was not canceled against him and his associates, he would surround the police station Ajnala. A safe passage was given for eighty kilometers to reach Ajnala,” the agencies report said.

This led to an increase in the number of armed supporters along with Amritpal till he reached Ajnala. The report also revealed that if the Punjab Police could stop Amritpal’s supporters from other districts of the state to reach Ajnala, why was Amritpal’s convoy not stopped from Jallupur. The police could have separated the vehicle in the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji from Amritpal’s convoy but this was not done.

Financial assistant from abroad

The report also mentions the financial help Amritpal received from the country and abroad to carry out his anti-national activities. Who and how is this amount being delivered to Amritpal? On the orders of the DGP, police of six districts were deployed in and around Ajnala, yet how did the convoy of some people reach Ajnala without interruption, when the people involved in his convoy were armed.

The investigating agency has also sent several videos and photos with evidence to corroborate the report, which exposes the truth of all the developments.
