Khalistani terrorist Khanpuria carrying Rs 5 lakh reward arrested by NIA

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the most wanted Khalistani terrorist carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh from the Delhi airport.

The arrested terrorist has been identified as Kulwinderjit Singh alias Khanpuria.

The arrested terrorist, Kulwinderjit Singh, is associated with terror outfits like Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), the official said.

He was arrested from the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

According to the NIA, Khanpuria was involved and wanted in several terror cases, including a conspiracy to carry out targeted killings in Punjab. He had been absconding since 2019. The NIA had announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to his arrest. On Friday, he came to India from Bangkok. As soon as the NIA got its input, the team arrested him from the spot.

Kulwinderjit Singh was also involved in grenade attacks in other states besides a bomb blast case in Connaught Place, New Delhi. According to the report, Khanpuria was the mastermind of carrying out terror attacks in India targeting establishments associated with Dera Sacha Sauda police headquarters in Punjab. The police of different states were also looking for him for all these cases.
