Melbourne: Ahead of elections in Australia’s Victoria state, its premier and Labour MP Daniel Andrews visited religious shrines and promised grants for the Indian and Sikh communities if he wins the election.
The current Labour government led by Andrews is seeking a four-year term for the third consecutive term in Victoria’s November 26 election. There are 276,770 people of Indian origin in the state.
