Ludhiana: A gas leak took place at an oxygen manufacturing factory in Giaspura here this morning, following which many people working in the factory and those working in the adjacent factory fainted on the spot. Five persons have been sent to the civil hospital for treatment, out of which four are in a completely unconscious state.
A worker Dinesh said that the gas in the factory was being transferred from the tanker to the tanker of the factory, after which the gas suddenly leaked. Many workers fainted as soon as the gas got leaked.
The administration rushed to the spot and fire brigades cars as well as ambulance were called on the spot.
The matter is being investigated by higher authorities.
