Dengue patient gets fruit juice instead of blood platelets, hospital sealed after victim’s death

Prayagraj (UP): The patient died after a private hospital here allegedly offered fruit juice instead of blood platelets to a dengue patient. The hospital has been sealed after the matter came to light.

The district administration swung into action after a video of the alleged incident went viral on social media and the hospital was sealed on the directions of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak.

So far, no one has registered a case with the police.

The owner of the private hospital claimed that the platelets were brought from an institution along with someone else.
