15 killed, over 40 injured in bus-truck collision in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa

Rewa: A major road accident took place on National Highway-30 near Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. In this, 15 people died and over 40 passengers were injured.

After the information of the passersby, Sohagi Police reached the spot and rescued the passengers trapped in the bus.

The seriously injured were rushed to Tyonthar Civil Hospital in an ambulance. Later, the seriously injured were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa.

The accident took place near Suhagi mountain bordering Madhya Pradesh Uttar Pradesh on National Highway-30. According to the information, the bus was going to Allahabad via Rewa via Jabalpur. A lot of people were sitting in the bus from Katni.

All the people were going to celebrate Diwali holiday at their home in Uttar Pradesh. The accident took place late at night, a trailer was going in front of the bus.

The trailer collided with a vehicle, due to which the truck was parked on the road, when the speeding bus coming from behind hit the trailer hard and all the people sitting in front of the bus died.

It is being told that there were about 100 people in the bus. After getting information about the incident, the police of many police stations including SP Collector reached the spot and started relief and rescue work.

The injured were first taken to Suhagi Community Health Centre. Later, the seriously injured were brought to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa.

Most of the labourers who died in the accident had come from Secunderabad in Hyderabad to Katni. These people had boarded the bus from Katni to UP. The deceased were residents of different areas of Uttar Pradesh.
